ESSENCE magazine celebrated on Thursday the best of Hollywood at its second annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The star-studded event honored four of Hollywood’s finest: Halle Berry (The Power Award), director Gina Prince-Bythewood (Visionary Award), Diahann Carroll (The Legend Award) and Taraji P. Henson (Lexus Star To Watch Award).

The annual people's choice award 2009 saw a few celebs come out, check out Queen Latifah and Jordin Sparks who both won art the award ceremony. Queen Latifah was honored and won for Best Independent movie for The Secret Life of Bee's and Jordin won for the 'No air' duet with Chris Brown.

The movie, which looks pretty promising, is based off of a 1922 short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and tells the story of Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt), a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences. It will hit theaters on Christmas Day.
